Pricing and booking
How much does sushi catering cost in Miami?
Irimaki's live sushi catering starts at $190 per guest for a 13-course omakase, $150 per guest for family-style live sushi, $1,000 for an Experience for Two, $2,500 for a private celebration, $2,750 for a corporate cocktail station and $350 for a drop-off sushi boat. Sales tax is added and travel is billed by location.
Is there a minimum?
Yes. Every event has a minimum that depends on the format and date. Family-style live sushi has an 8-guest minimum, private celebrations start at $2,500 and corporate stations at $2,750.
How do I reserve a date?
Request a proposal with your date, guest count and city. Once you approve it, a 50% non-refundable deposit holds your date. Drop-off boats and Experiences for Two are paid in full.
Can I reschedule?
Yes. Deposits are non-refundable, but your event can move to a new date, subject to availability.
How do I pay?
Zelle and ACH through QuickBooks at no charge. Credit and debit cards and Venmo carry a 4% processing fee. The balance is due when the event is complete.
Can I change my guest count?
Reduce your guest count up to 72 hours before the event and add guests up to 24 hours before, subject to availability.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as you have a date. Weekends and the holiday season book first, and events booked less than three days ahead may carry a rush fee.
The experience
What is live sushi catering?
Live sushi catering means our chefs set up at your event and prepare every piece in front of your guests, instead of delivering trays. Irimaki offers omakase, live sushi stations, cocktail stations and family-style service.
What is an at-home omakase?
A chef-led sushi dinner where your chef serves a 13-course progression one piece at a time, in your home, on your yacht or at your venue. It lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, or 3 to 4 hours including setup and cleanup.
What ingredients do you use?
Hitomebore rice and Ariake nori from Japan, Faroe Island salmon, Hokkaido scallops, Japanese amberjack, yellowfin tuna and wagyu, with premium-grade fish sourced for each date.
What if some guests don't eat raw fish?
Menus can include warm Japanese plates such as karaage, gyoza, dumplings and Big Bang shrimp, and fried rice is available on request.
Can you accommodate allergies?
Yes. Share allergies and dietary restrictions when you book and your chef adapts the menu. Any seasonal substitution is of equal or greater value.
Can I add caviar, wagyu or uni?
Yes. Ossetra caviar, Miyazaki A5 wagyu, Japanese uni, ikura, fresh wasabi root and an otoro selection can be added to any experience and are confirmed at least 7 days before the event.
Do you serve alcohol?
No. Irimaki does not serve alcohol. You are welcome to serve your own, and we are happy to suggest pairings.
What happens if the food runs out?
If food runs out before your service window ends, we keep serving at no extra cost.
Events and guests
How many guests can you serve?
There is no upper limit. Experiences start at two guests, and large events, weddings and conferences are quoted individually with the chefs and team they require.
What kinds of events do you cater?
Birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, bridal showers, weddings, rehearsal dinners, holiday and yacht parties, corporate receptions, client dinners and office events.
Do you cater weddings?
Yes. We offer cocktail hour sushi stations, live stations for the reception and rehearsal or welcome dinners. Weddings of 100 guests or more start at $7,500.
Do you cater corporate events?
Yes. Live sushi stations, cocktail stations and premium drop-off for corporate events, with a Certificate of Insurance, W-9 and itemized invoices for your team.
Logistics
What areas do you serve?
Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, including Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Brickell, Pinecrest, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach. We travel further on request.
What do I need to provide at home?
Only your kitchen. Your chef works at your kitchen counter, ideally cleared before arrival, with a sink nearby. We bring everything else.
Can you provide a Certificate of Insurance?
Yes. Irimaki is licensed and insured and adds your venue or building as Additional Insured when required, at no extra cost for standard coverage.
Do you have a restaurant?
No. Irimaki is a catering company working from a commercial kitchen that does not receive guests. Every experience happens at your event.
Is cleanup included?
Yes. Setup, service and full breakdown are included, and we leave your space as we found it.
